Thigh Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that removes fat that is difficult to get rid of even after strenuous exercises or diet.
The first step is to discuss the goals, the options, the risks and benefits with the specialist and ask all the essential questions. Once the decision is made, the surgeon will provide the instructions on how to prepare for it. These may include diet and alcohol restrictions.
The surgery is performed under general anesthetic and usually takes about 1-1/5 hour depending on the amount of accumulated fat. No stitches are inserted. Patients need to stay overnight at the clinic. The following morning there is a check up with the surgeon and if all is fine, the patients may leave the clinic.Strenuous exercises, swimming pool, bath and sun exposure are not recommended for about a month after the surgery.
