Dr Markuszewska is an expert in the field of surgical correction of vision errors, specializing in dealing with difficult and complex cases, and was one of the first eye specialists in Poland to introduce out-patient microsurgical eye procedures.
Until 1992 Doctor Markuszewska was the senior lecturer and Head of Post-operative Care and the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Wrocław. She is currently the Director of the Research Centre of Ophthalmology in Poland, providing a variety of eye treatments and procedures to correct vision, including laser vision correction, cataract removal, glaucoma surgery, strabismus correction, clear lens extraction, presbyopia reversal, and LASIK surgery.

Dr Markuszewska graduated medicine in 1979 and was an intern at renowned ophthalmic centers all around the world. Presently she actively participates in the national and international conferences on ophthalmology.
