It is placed under the skins close to the area to be reconstructed. There is also a procedure in which the abdomen muscle, fat as well as the skin are used in order to reconstruct breasts and it is referred to as Transverse rectus abdominus musculocutaneous flap. Nipples and areolas are reconstructed with skin grafting and tattooing process to obtain the right colour.
