Autologous fat transfer is a procedure in which fat is removed from one part of the body via liposuction and then transfered to other parts, such as face or breasts.
Fat makes an excellent soft tissue filler because it produces very natural looking results without any allergic reactions. This procedure can have longer lasting results than popular biodegradable alternatives. Generally, some of the injected fat is absorbed in the treated area and stays for at least a year, or sometimes longer, while the rest dissipates over a period of 6-9 months.
Fat Tranfer to face is usually done on an outpatient basis, and is relatively straightforward. The fat is harvested under local anesthesia, then filtered and specially prepared for injection. Finally, the fat is injected under local anaesthesia in the subcutaneous tissue of the chosen area.
Please, note that the final results depend not only on the surgeon, but also the anatomical conditions of the patient and healing process.
If a patient is not satisfied with the results from the surgery and from the medical point of view there is a possibility to correct it, we offer corrective procedure free of charge. However, the patient needs to pay for flights, accommodation, etc. on his/her own.
