Non-surgical lips augemntation procedures
If you wish to enlarge your lips there are many different types of procedures. The most popular among the non surgical methods are fat transfer and dermal fillers. They are perfomed under local anaesthetic. Both allow you to achieve fuller and better contoured lips.
In case of fat transfer to lips, the 40-50% of the fat is absorbed by the body during the first months, while the rest stays for longer,
sometimes for the whole life (it depends on the individual’s anatomical conditions).
In case of dermal fillers, there’s higher risk of having alergic reaction.
Usually, patients decide to undergo lip enhancement procedure if they possess naturally thin lips or their lips are loosing volume due to aging process. Lip augmentation can also improve wrinkles and age lines around the mouth.
Some swelling might appear after lip augmentation procedure. There are a few things you can do to help your recovery along, however.
To reduce swelling, apply a cold compress. Moreover, minimize mouth movement for the first 2 days (limit talking and chewing). You should also stick to a liquid diet for 1-2 days and restrict smiling and laughing for about a week. It’s also a good idea to sleep with the upper body raised and avoid sleeping face down
